Fight night is making its prime time comeback this weekend, as Haymon Boxing kicks off the first televised fights in its Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) series Saturday on NBC. MGM Grand in Las Vegas, NV, is the first venue for the highly anticipated series, which will air in prime time slots throughout 2015 across NBC, CBS and Spike TV, as well as online. To make a splash for its debut, PBC turned to Reality Check Systems to deliver a high-end graphics package and innovative technological workflow. Designed to restore the original excitement of past fight nights to prime time, both will be deployed across all PBC events to deliver dynamic, informative graphics for both PBC’s world broadcast feed and in-venue production.

Our package features a full range of graphics that give viewers an up-close-and-personal look at the action – from full screen, to tail of the tape, fighter match ups, fight cards, lower thirds and more. Using a combination of proprietary hardware and software, we also built a custom pipeline in PBC’s OB truck that simplifies graphics operation for the live world feed of each match, and created a front-end application that enables all PBC-approved broadcasters to sync the fight time code to their live footage.

With Spike TV and CBS gearing up to take to the stage as the host broadcasters of upcoming fights, we’re also preparing custom packages for their host feeds. To see our work in action, be sure check out the official PBC schedule and tune into one of the fights.
