RCS Clients to Contend for Top Honors at the 28th Annual Sports Emmy Awards

In just a few short months, the best of the best in live sports entertainment will gather at Lincoln Center in New York for the 28th annual Sports Emmy Awards  on May 5. In preparation for the festivities, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences this week announced the nominees vying for awards this year, and we’re excited to see so many of RCS’ clients make the cut.

CBS nabbed an Outstanding Live Graphic Design nomination for its NFL program, in addition to an Outstanding Playoff Coverage nod for its NCAA Tournament coverage, while DIRECTV earned a nomination for The George Wensel Technical Achievement Award for its work on the 4K/HD MLB Network Showcase. MLB Network is in the running for Outstanding Technical Team Studio and Outstanding Post-Produced Graphic Design honors for “MLB Tonight,” as well as a George Wensel Technical Achievement Award for its 4K/HD MLB Network Showcase. NFL Network received a nom for Outstanding Technical Team for their NFL Draft Coverage on top of a nod for Outstanding Studio Show Daily for its Total Access show. Univision Deportes will contend for an Outstanding Live Sports Coverage in Spanish Award for its Copa America Centenario broadcasts.

Congrats to all of our friends at CBS, DIRECTV, MLB Network, NFL Network and Univision! Your creativity and commitment to pushing the limits of technology to improve the audience experience are beyond deserving of recognition. We had a blast working with you on these projects, and we’re rooting for you!
